Hello, sorry to make a new thread but I couldn’t find one this specific!
One of my ducklings is backing up to poop, but cannot. She’s eating and drinking like the rest of the ducklings. We noticed she did have a white almost gooey substance come out but no proper poop.
Is there something I can do to help her?
They are tough to hold still so I’m not sure if I can get a picture

Pictures would be VERY helpful. I'm thinking pasty butt, maybe, or the brooder is too warm, increasing water intake and making a more liquidy substance.

This is one good one I can take myself, the rest of the substance was wiped off I suppose.

I also just noticed I had my heat lamp on the brighter/larger option (it clicks 3 times, one turns off, ones on and ones turns a bit brighter and widens the area it hits). So I turned that back to the regular option, hopefully less hot now?

She’s also a bit spraddle legged so I’m going to use a bandaid to once I can get someone to hold her while I place it.

UPDATE: It WAS pasty butt, I’m guessing it could’ve been stress from the hatch & possibly too cold/warm. She was stuck in her shell via membrane, her face wasn’t shrink wrapped, but she came out and it was a process to help her. My mom accidentally pulled too much of her out too fast and she bled a little.
Every time I’ve taken her out she’ll eventually start to shiver, so I’ll put her back in.
They huddle for warmth under the light sometimes but are still quite active most times, so I’m unsure if the light is too hot or not! I’m not sure if I trust my thermometer so I’ll be getting a different one just in case. I think they just like to sleep together? I’ll keep watching her poor little bum and hopefully it doesn’t keep happening, thank you!
