Project Shed-To-Coop

Thank you .. x2
By the way, the only reason I needed that large a battery is that it'll also be powering a small heating pad that will sit under the battery and keep it above freezing during the winter, and when it's activated that pad will use more energy than every other load combined. Without that I could have made do with a battery with roughly half that capacity.

Looks great! I used APOC (an elastomeric sealant I had bought for the roof of the coop) and while it is sturdy, the roost bars and ramp still get poop-caked pretty quickly. I'm just resigned to it now.
I can't remember, do you use zeolite (Sweet PDZ) on your poop trays? (A bit of a challenge for the roost bars, of course.) I'm amazed at how good a job it does in releasing the accumulated poop bombs from surfaces.

I'm interested in the answer too, as that's what I'm planning to use in my tray.

I don't have poop trays. The coop is 4x12 feet and I just use deep bedding in all of it, and the roost bars are about 3 feet above the floor. It's pretty easy to take care of the floor part of it.

Whoops, my brain is partially elsewhere today: I meant to write ramp instead of poop bars. But depending on the slope (angle) of your ramp, that might not be doable.

Been using it for years, and it IS all that it's cracked up to be! Buy the stall fresh from tractor supply, it's the same thing, but you get 25lbs for like $6. And very nice-looking coop so far! Can't wait to see the finished product!
