I had 8 Guinea Keet hatch yesterday and the day before, all are perfect healthy little fluff balls. Except one, he seems health just cannot walk. He just lays on one side(same side) I believe its only one of his legs that is the problem. If I put my hand next to him he will lean on it and can walk just fine. I have been keeping him with me in the crook of my elbow hoping him staying upright will be some sort of physical therapy for him. Looked into spraddle legs and they dont go out just both off to one side.

This is him being assisted.

Unassisted. :( HELP!!!!!

Oh my, when you are assisting him he looks good but when you are not....
I dont know what could be wrong with him, what if you flip him over on his other side?
Do you see anything wrong with that side of his body?
By the way

He is sooo adorable, it is a shame that he cant walk right...
Sorry that i couldnt help.

Have you tried making a splint for this little guys leg? I found a website that has some really good information on treating leg problems in these babies. www.poultrypedia.com . Good luck! Keep us updated on the progress he makes. Also, since you have been keeping him with you I'm sure you know, make sure he has plenty of access to food and water. They can dehydrate very quickly. Maybe try some vitamins to to give the little
Guy and extra boost. :)

When I flip him to the other side he quickly flips back to the injured, I gave him a bit of Gatorade yesterday to help with his electrolytes and sugar. I tried making him several splints, tried the "Physical Therapy" And when he was with me I had a cap full of water/feed. I did everything I could but unfortunately he passed about an hour ago... So sad....

Thank you for your words and help.
