Day old meat birds and day old layers

Hi we have always raised meat birds but now we are getting into layers. I have 80 meat birds in one building and 15 layers in another. My husband has just found a dozen barred rock chicks to buy..they are just a few days old and another 7 that are 2 weeks old. My question is can I put the young layers in the same enclosure as the young meat birds?

I am going to give them a try i think, its the best way to keep them away from the adults for now
