New Flock Members!!!

[Bock-Bock-Bagock]

Just added these day old chicks to the flock.
Buff Orpington (Ginger)
Barred Rock (Fennel)
Red Laced Wyondotte (Clove)

I started with 3 chicks last year. My barred rock (Pepper) was taken by a fox. My Easter Egger (Chives) was injured by the fox, then was out in the woods during a tornado. She returned the next day, recovered, then got injured by a rooster trying to breed. Doubt she will lay again and she isn't recovering well. Got two more to fill the flock out, both barnyard mix (Pineapple and Kiwi). Pineapple turned out to be a rooster so he went to another farm. So currently I am at two layers and one just living.
Figured it was time to expand. Got them at the co-op and they are a day old. They are vaxxed and supposed to be sexed. Excited to watch them grow!!!

Congrats on your beautiful babies! Enjoy them and have fun! My flock dwindled down to one 9 year old hen. She was lonely so I got 15 new chicks. I lost one from rough shipping. So I have 14 plus the hen. It's wonderful to watch them grow. Enjoy yours!
