Day old pullets in NC?

Does anyone know someone/somewhere we can find about 10-20 day old pullets in NC? Me and my friend need them for an FFA Ag. science fair project. The two breeds that come to mind that would work best are leghorns (any color) or sex-links (any color). Sex-links are probably more likely since you can more easily sex them. Having just hens will make our experiment easier and we'll also be able to split the hens between us to use for eggs at our house after the project is done

So can anyone help us? We're in the piedmont region.

do you not want to order from a hatchery? most hatcheries will have those, and cackle will sell at a 15 bird minimum.

When do you need them? I'm getting some from Meyer next week(probably Weds). Wouldn't mind upping my order(if they're available). I'm in Hickory.

Well nevermind, my teacher decided to tell me today (after I posted) that he'd already ordered and gotten the chicks today. 25 from McMurray, 5 have already died

The point was to find somewhere closer, and preferably cheaper, so to save on shipping. But instead of letting me know so that I could help, they went ahead and ordered from one of the most expensive hatcheries
