day old with blood poop

hey all
i had a hen go missing a few weeks ago and thought she had been taken by a fox or coyote but it turns out she was sitting on 24 eggs in my front yard and i somehow never noticed her.

i came home from the store and found her in the front yard with a baby...

so i went on a hunt to find her nest and found another baby in there. i moved mama and 2 babies into the brood pen but mama was not really concerned with the newest hatch. the one she was is the front yard with is running around and mama has been happily sitting on her, i assume she hatched yesterday.

i checked on them multiple times and she was never around the one baby so i brought the tiny one in.

she seems fragile, wont open her eyes. i have tried to feed her egg yolk mixed with sugar and she wont open her beak at all.

she has had two poops and they are both spots of blood.

any suggestions on how to help this little one

I would start corid since blood in poop points to coccidiosis. Here is the info.

You can feed her vitamin water after she is done with the corid. When she is feeling better try to get her back with the group, chicks (or chickens) don't do well living alone.

Can a day old have coccidiosis?

I'm in Ontario Canada and will likely have to go thru a vet to get it....not sure I can get an appt soon enough.

I'll see if anyone local has some....
