day two of our first egg laying....and...

yesterday we found our first egg! (my chicks are only 17 weeks old...!) it was a huge one with 3 yokes! Today I found a teeny tiny egg that was layed this morning (by im guessing the same chick) but then a couple hours later I found another slightly larger egg in the same spot.... I know its not unheard of, but could I have one young chick laying and layed twice in one day? or does it seem like I have two youngins laying?

Sweet! Your first egg - must be exciting! Our chicks are only about 2 1/2 weeks old so we have some time to wait yet. We are new chicken owners so no idea on your question...but congratulations on your first egg!

congrats to you too! I am a new chick mom also. My first babies are 17 weeks old, after getting the first 6, I gave in and bought 6 more two weeks later...lol I love my babies!
