You can count species and numbers, City Girl. You probably only have one or two families of cardinals in your yard, if they are at all similar to other birds that size.

Carolina chickadee, white-breasted nuthatch, dark-eyed junco, Carolina wren, tufted titmouse.

Just getting started

redpoll, carolina wren, juncos, chickadees, titmouse, red bellied woodpecker, mourning dove, cardinal, bluejay, crows and on my way to work a red tailed hawk.

Todays birds.

Tufted Titmouse
Carolina Chickadee
Northern Cardinal
Blue Jay
Dark-eyed Junco
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
Downy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Turkey Vulture
American Crow
White-throated Sparrow

Have to get up earlier tomorrow. I often see Red-tailed Hawk and Red-shouldered Hawks around. There are also Black Vultures in the area. If I go for a drive I can get a Northern Mockingbird and Kestrel I've seen down the road.

Add to yesterday's observations:

Gold Finch
House Finch
Flicker
Pileated Woodpecker
Great Blue Heron
Chipping Sparrow
Song Sparrow

No Vultures
