Days getting longer

Well , it would not be so bad if it was just wet , but we have very high humidity ( like 97º with heat index of 125 ) .... PLUS Hurricane seasons start June 1st. In 2008 we got hit by 2 major canes

Try securing 2 coops and 3 runs with almost 100 head in the flock

Yeah, Liz spring is nice here, but not summer. We took the eye of Gustav. I had a house full of chickens and found my ducks a half mile away. They were so traumatized, they quit laying for a month!

We thank God we had several of those huge vinyl tarps like 40x40 and totally drapped the perimeter of the coops with those and locked them all inside til weather calmed down . They were SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG

sorry, I'm just cold

We have noticed the time difference in when the Silkies are ready to go up for the night. It used to be 4 pm, then we got up to 4:30 and now sometimes, if it is above 55 F, they will stay out till 5 pm. I wish it would hurry and warm up a bit, I'm tired of watering in the cold.
