Daytime Predator

I'd say hawk based on the "feathers everywhere." My flock has gone up and down due to constant predator issues. Over the course of 4 days I lost 11 - first day 2 to hawks, 2nd day 1 to fisher cat that dug under the rocks around the fence bottom, 3rd day coyotes got into the pen (6 ft high chain link) took 2, 4th day took coyotes took 6, again over the fence and broke down the doors on the coop(!). I've also seen a owl and an oversized cat (catamount?) I live 8 miles as the crow flies from downtown Boston! I had one more and just today placed her on a farm (yeah) She was so tramatised she wouldn't go off the porch

Oh my word! I think I'm traumatized by your story! I'm so sorry. :-( Thanks for all the info on the predators, though. There's quite a learning curve here.
