Well, after reading all the advice, I'm going with a nice, long, dirt nap. It may be healthy, it may have rabies, it may have distemper, or it may have babies... No matter what it needs to go before I have any incidences with my pets or my family. Thanks for sharing all the advice!

Raccoon roundworm is another danger. It is quite widespread, transmittable to humans in whom it can cause serious illness, and in humans there is no treatment available.
