The cougar stood over Lily, his jaws deep in her throat...Lily shook herself. You need to stop daydreaming, Lily, She thought to herself. She listened for the scream again. I wonder what wolf died, she thought

"Lily?" Storm called. He hated the feeling of her name on his tongue, but he wanted to know if she actually just sacrificed herself.

Cedar was face to face with a big, mean wolf. Maybe it wasn't a wolf. He wasn't sure. He screamed again, hoping Lavender would come. Why do I always wander away from the den? He wondered

"Lily?" Storm called. He hated the feeling of her name on his tongue, but he wanted to know if she actually just sacrificed herself.

Lavender let out a sigh, and started trotting over to where that distinctive noise was coming from. She was getting all too used to doing this.

"Yeah?" Lily called back

"Oh, I was hoping you died." He tried to sound disappointed, but he was a little relieved.

Lily trotted through the trees and saw a pup sitting in front of the cougar. She dashed forward and grabbed the pup in her mouth. The cougar turned out to be a coward and vanished into the trees. Lily growled softly, and started to walk away with the pup

Lavender continued walking towards the sound, not expecting anything more than a squirrel. Though, squirrels were mean. The scars on her face proved that.
