Suddenly Cherry looked up. "Is that Zelda way over there?" She asked.

Lily watched the loner quietly, trying to decide what to do. Then one of Zelda's pups came tumbling out of the den unnoticed by the others. Standing up, the pup started off into the forest. Lily silently followed him.

Zelda licked Holly gently. "There we go. Do you want any food?" She asked. Suddenly, she looked up. "Where's Cedar?"

 

[Starburst]

Suddenly Cherry looked up. "Is that Zelda way over there?" She asked.

Comet frowned. "I'm not sure, Alpha."

"Look, she's going that way!" Cherry moved quickly but silently and soon they had a good view of Zelda. "It is her!" Whispered Cherry. "Looks like she's following.....one of Zelda's pups! Oh great."

Lily continued to follow the pup. As she drew closer to him, she recognized the pup to be the one she'd saved from the cougar. She wasn't going to let him get killed. Lily dashed forward and snatched the pup up in her mouth and continued to run, not stopping.
