Oak stared up at this strange wolf. The wolf was offering food, but this wasn't his mama. Oak whimpered again.

In the den, he laid next to the pups, so they could snuggle up against him.

Cedar came to his conclusion. This wolf had killed his mother. Or kidnapped him and his brother.
