Lavender backed away from the wolf, fear in her eyes. She wanted to help Zelda, but Zelda was unconscious and this wolf was a lot stronger than Lavender was.

Comet glanced back at Dragon and bowed. "I found the loner who ran away from camp after capture. She was the one that murdered one of our own. Look, she's unconscious now."

Lavender turned and raced into the the forest, trying to remember where Zelda’s den was. She had to protect them, Zelda would be heartbroken if they died.

Lavender thought for a second, then had a brilliant idea. She ran in the complete opposite direction of Zelda’s den, towards a cliff. If this wolf was stupid enough to follow her, they would both fall off and presumably die.
