( @Orpingtonsarecool , here is a bit of a summary of what has happened/is happening. So you don't have to read through 145 pages to know the events. Here are some ranks: Cherry and Dragon are the alphas. I think Comet, River, and Luna are betas. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Pigeon and Storm are the omegas. I think Pigeon left the pack. Yuki was just promoted from omega, so she is now a lower mid ranker. All the other pack wolves are some sort of mid rank. The loners are Zelda, Lavender, and Nightmare. (I may be missing some.) Okay, on with the summary... I'm probably missing a lot. Zelda the loner murdered one pack wolfs named Boots. Zelda had been stealing/trying to steel food from the pack for a wile. Eventually Zelda was shot and found by the pack wolves who hate her for killing Boots. The other loner, Lavender had just met Zelda who apparently had pups... very annoying pups! Lavender has been taking care of the pups. Zelda is barely alive and laying by the pack's camp where the pack wolves had left her earlier. A couple wolves were sent out to look for more loners in and around pack territory. Luna, Risk, River, Eilidh... and maybe some others. Then, Snap, the alphas' favored wolf was murdered by Storm. Storm tried to do it secretly, but practically everyone thinks/knows it was him. He was demoted to omega (he used to be a higher middle ranker). Immediately he decided to try and run away once it turned night. So he started doing exactly that... and that is where the story leaves off for now.
Like I said before, I'm probably forgetting some major events.)

(Actually, Comet, River, and Aspen are betas. Luna is a mid ranking wolf.)

"Oh. I understand...but it's not like we're going to kill you, Storm." Comet said gently. "None of us are planning to hurt you. Even Yuki and Pigeon barely got attacked."

Well, I think some want to kill me after ME killing someone. He thought bitterly. He was debating whether to tell Comet that he was a bloodthirsty murderer when he caught something on the wind.
(Do you want him to smell Cherry and Aspen or not.)

Comet lowered his voice. "I know, Storm. And I know that you lied about chasing a rabbit. And about you not being an omega. But, see. I don't hold it against you. I could have attacked you, but I'm not interested in hurting you. Most of us wolves aren't. In my opinion, it's better to just forgive our pack mates." He sighed

You... knew, what? His mind felt foggy and unusable. All Storm could feel was the intensity of his... sadness...? Fear...? Guilt...? ... something of the sorts.
