Flame lifted her head sleepily. It sounded like a fight. She looked around, and saw Cherry, Aspen, and Comet surrounding a bush.

Then Zelda remembered that she'd been acting weak. Maybe it would work again...without thinking again, Zelda collapsed and didn't move

Zelda gulped but stood strong. She had to get away.

Aspen stood taller. "Come on, Zelda." She spat. "If you come out like a good puppy dog, you might not get hurt!"

Comet stared at Zelda, who was spread across the ground. She wasn't moving. "Do you think she's okay?" He asked Aspen and Cherry

Hearing Cherry's words, a smile spread across Zelda's face. She was convincing them! Zelda almost laughed.

"Come on Zelda, show some strength!" Snapped the alpha. "You weakling must not be able to survive as a loner. Maybe I should end your suffering!"

Zelda gulped. This wasn't going as planned. However, she was surprised at how easy it was to trick the Alpha.
