Aspen paused for a moment, studying Comet. Then she trotted after Cherry. "The alphas can take care of Zelda. I trust them."

Comet followed Cherry and Aspen, trying to look excited about hunting, but he was really only thinking about Zelda. Why? Why did they let her go? He'd always admired Zelda's strength and courage, not to mention her wit. But this didn't make sense. Not at all. The Alpha had just let a murderer go, who may kill more of the wolves in their pack.

Cherry lifted her nose to the wind. She sniffed the air. "This way." She murmured and changed direction a little bit.

Comet sniffed the air, but not for the deer. He was trying to catch the scent of the loner. He paused when he caught her scent and turned towards her direction.

Comet glanced back to the Alpha. "Alright, alright. You needn't be so harsh." Comet's eyes narrowed. Something was going on.
