Cedar struggled as he was carried by the wolf. She was the same wolf that had saved him from the cougar. Maybe she's my protector...no, Mama and Lavender are my protectors. Maybe she's going to eat me? Cedar whimpered

"Well..." Cherry wasn't sure if she should share her thoughts. "Well..." She said again, then she continued. "You see, I'm worried that Zelda is going to think that I betrayed her. One of MY pack wolves is taking one of her pups when I promised I would do anything to help her... its just so..." She stopped there, deciding she had already said too much.

Comet nodded, then squinted in the distance. "I see her. She's almost here."

Zelda saw two wolves standing in the trees not too far away. One of them was...Cherry. A growl rose in her throat.
