Lily sighed. "Well, we can't live in fear. Let's be on guard, but know if he attacks you, I'll help you beat him up." She grinned.
"It'll work the other way around as well." Storm started brainstorming ways to protect himself and Lily. I could do the tree tactic! Or...
Lily smiled. "Now, do you want this rabbit I caught or not?"
"Didn't we just finish a deer leg?" But that felt like it was a lifetime ago.
"Well, that was a while ago, wasn't it?" Lily asked, pushing the rabbit over to him
"It sure feels like it!" He agreed, happily taking the rabbit.
Lily smiled then turned to the stream to drink.
Storm did not wish to leave Lily's side. But I don't have to, do I. He smiled Omegas aren't even supposed to hunt. But today, Storm decided, he wanted to be a beta, but this time he would do it peacefully.
Lily turned back to Storm. "What are you thinking about?" She asked, noticing his thoughtful expression.
