Zelda felt her time was running up. She looked at her remaining pups, Holly, Ivy, Ebony, and Pine. She needed to get them somewhere before she died. She could try taking them to the pack, or give them to some loner who would look after them...

"That's great, thank you, can you watch the pups?" he asked then spoke to them, "I am going to bring back a deer, alright oak, cedar?"

Oak nodded eagerly, his mouth-watering. The last piece of food he'd eaten was a rotting mouse. Cedar wagged his tail half-heartedly, still lost in thought.
