First of all, be sure to thank your daughter for her service to our country. And thank you too - for rasing her! Prayers coming your way - it'll take some time to adjust...holding good thoughts.

I am happy to report that she is doing much better. She is starting to get involved with the chickens again and we had a fun "welcome home" party for her Sunday afternoon. I think that coming home to a refurbished barn and pens really has given her a lift. Below are the before and after pics of the barn and silkie pens. I did the work on this while she was away.

Wow! That looks amazing!! I'm glad your DD is starting to get back into the swing of things. I'm sure it will take her a little while, but we wish her all the best!

Please pass on my thanks to your daughter! Give her a heads up that she may not be happy with what she sees and hears at college!

For one thing the other students will feel incredibly immature to her! And they are! Many of them and the profs will neither understand nor necessarily approve of the decisions she has made. Depending on how she reacts this can be a good chance for her to teach or an aggravating point of pain. If she has issues with profs esp tell her to feel free to PM me I can help her handle them.
