I see Docs on a needed basis. My experience over decades (and from working in a hospital) has been that most M.D.s have little training in supplements. For example- my school nurse and I both take 2000 mg of Vit. D daily, as it's really good for your immune system, prevents bone loss in women. We had swine flu go thru our school and we were both fine, (with no recommended vaccines) and I have a "compromised" respiratory system. Later my MD said that Vit. D is showing promise in MS and reduces mortality across the board 7%, and it's cheap!
Everyone has to do their own research and take some responsibility for their own actions. I would have had very serious consequences, years ago, if I hadn't asked tough questions of my docs and refused certain, over-priced treatments, un-needed treatments. Most med schools are funded (atleast partially) by big pharma. They're not exactly pro-wellness
If you don't want supplements, don't take them. I don't think anything is a "cure all", but we all know our bodies better than anyone else and what works for us. My labs tell me that too.
