DE (food grade?) good or bad

Thanks for that Oxford link. I had been unable to find anything suggesting there might be some form of action on internal parasites. The feed I buy already contains it so it's nice to know it might be doing more than preventing caking and keeping pests out of the feed.

X2... Thank you for the links! Have to admit I have never even seen a mite, wormed anything other than the cat, ever had any infevtions or weird pathogens,...and I find it an odd coincidence that this stuff has been in use here for 10+ years ;)

(OK we do worm the sheep lol)

Notice that this would be "pool grade".... That's why the emphasis on FOOD GRADE DE...3% or less is the limit on FOOD GRADE DE....38% is too high to be food grade. Helps to look up the right mineral...or in the case of POOL GRADE DE, the wrong CHEMICAL.

Edit to add correct MSDS for FOOD GRADE DE

Is 2010 the most recent update on the MSDS, then? I only ask because it seems that the majority of DE research has been more recent (2011-2013).
