DE vs Sweet PDZ??

I am using Red Lake Earth DE (Food chemical codex grade, it contains DE and calcium bentonite).

I saw Sweet PDZ today at Tractor Supply Co. I think it was granular. The bag says it's for horse stalls. Does that work for chickens too? Would it keep it dry? It says non-toxic. Would it be ok for them if they ate it? (and you know they will)

You can use it to soak up ammonia odors in the coop. Sweet PDZ doesn't actually kill bugs, though, and it can't be put into their feed like food grade DE can, though they won't be hurt if they peck at it a bit.
