Oh..I am so sorry that is something no one should ever have to go thru but yet it happens.
My DD had just pointed out the pic you posted and how excited to see other greys. If hers ever start to lay maybe she can send some eggs.

When she was @ 5 2 neighborhood dogs ripped up our rabbit hutch and killed some of her bunnies. A month later they were back for the rest but this time we were walking out to the bus and saw them in the act. I dont think you ever really get over that. They were nice dogs, the snow made their electronic fence not work, and prey drive just kicked in.
Always heartbreaking. Very sorry this happened to you, lots of people understand and are here for you if it helps.

OH no! Glad that you have good relationship with your neighbor. It is a bummer to lose a nice chicken and have to start over with chicks or hatching eggs. Good luck with your future flock.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my 1st hen and rooster to a coyote. I had them for over 4 years.
