Sorry if I ? what you have been told b4, but I would run the risk of the hen sitting with her flock, as long as she can get to the food she knows is there and water if she wanted to, then the rest would of been so easy for you to keep an eye on, I always allow my birds to sit with the rest, that way when they bring the chicks out she can defend them, if the cockerel became a problem I would remove him, they are 2 a penny and plenty of them around, sorry for your loss but lessen learnt I do believe, the hard way for you and the hen, if you came across problems with the hens attacking her or the chicks, then that would of been the time I would have removed her, sorry again for your loss and good luck with the eggs
