Dead chick

I have a two month old chick that just died. I noticed them at its crop felt like it was full of just liquid. I put pressure on the crop (while dead) and a fowl clear liquid came out. I’m guessing it drank too much water? Help?

Sounds to me like it could have been sour crop.
Was there a smell at all to the crops contents?
No off behavior from this chick before you found it dead?

Absolutely no odd behavior and yes there was a smell. Made me gag a couple times

That does indeed sound like sour crop, so I think that's what happened.

Well, sour crop is a fungal infection and is when there's an overgrowth of bacteria. Many things can cause that to happen, such as slow digestion, and undigested food and items.
