Dead Chicken

[Little Miss Chick]

One of my chickens laid an egg and then died. We found a tear in the skin and fat about an inch away from the vent. We have dogs, but they have never killed one before and it would seem to me that if she killed it, she would have broken its neck. Since I am still new to this forum, I don't think I can post a picture but can email one if someone can help explain this?

sry i can't really help but i think after 10 post u can post pics. Doesnt' really seem like a dog done it.
