What do you do with a dead chicken?
Do you eat them? Throw them away? bury them?
I would like to Know.
They aren't dead yet but I would like to be prepared.

P.S. They're still pretty young and shouldn't die Anytime soon .

I suppose what you do with them all depends on how they die.
If you cull them, then clean them and eat them.
If a predator gets them, the I would say bury them.
If they die from old age, I would still bury them.
Hope that answers your question.

If a chicken dies of any cause other than your own hand, you shouldn't eat them IMO because you just don't know what they died from and could risk passing that on to your family. In my house, because we have so many chickens, unless they are one of our top favorites, when they die they will be thrown away or if they died from something disease like they will be burned. Very favorite 'pets' are buried and mourned.

We're of course sad when any of our chickens die (we've only had four of the Americaunas die, and one was because a board fell on it

) but we just throw them out, way in the woods.
