Sometimes its just genetic. I wouldn't let that stop you from trying again, but if it keeps happening it could be a problem with your hen.

Thanks, its just the two mallard hens (or maybe 1 of the 2). They are the only eggs I can tell apart from the rest of the eggs laid. I've had good success with the other eggs. May try again this summer, we will see.

I think that's dead too. I don't see any red veins. Wait a couple days and candle again if no red veins throw it out.

Thanks, that's what my plan was. Sometimes just need someone else to confirm lol
