To bad I couldn't do a full necropsy, there were ants all over her. It's SC so ants attack sick animals and dead animals.

I really don't know what happened. Are you sure it wasn't just a natural death or something else happened? I have never done a necropsy, so I could be wrong. You probably know more than me. Well I hope you figure out what happened to her.

If the right side of her heart is swollen, than it's ascites. Ascites makes sense because we had dramatic tempature changes. Even though she's a Dominique not a broiler.

I figured it out!! It is Polycystic Oviduct, it was in her left ovary. It's usually Cystic Oviduct; meaning one cyst, but this was many. (Poly = Many in latin.) Thus the many "water sacs" that I found in the egg assembly line. Thankyou for your clues and thankyou to this thread!
