So I have a few questions first what is the normal hatch rate for shipped quail eggs because I got 60 quail eggs from gqf and the first batch I put in 36 and got a 22% hatch the second batch was supposed to hatch last week but they died In the egg the humidity was at 30-40 and temp at 99.5f I just want to know if I was doing anything wrong or why they all died my second question is why chick die in the egg from day 1-21 I had some chicken egg in the incubator and it looks like four are dead and almost all the chick hatched today just was wondering what make them die

Forgot to mention the majority of quail eggs from batch #2 died early on I had three make it to hatch and then die

I don't know anything about quails in particular, but shipping can cause damage inside the egg that makes it unable to finish incubating. It will start developing, but die before hatching. Late death or dead in shell is often due to damage to the egg or fetus.

Had a whole batch of duck eggs dying at various times during incubation because they were handled horribly during shipping. :(

Yeah that’s probably why it just so disappointing when they die I guess I will just hatch more out when the ones that hatched get old enough I have never hatched shipped eggs before the only thing I knew was that they had half the hatch rate then normal eggs
