here too with the mountain lions...the game commission doesnt say they arent here they just say there have been no confirmed sightings. I know people, including my dad, who say they have seen them. They used to live here, makes sense if there are still some around.

About the mountain lions in PA ... they released 6 breeding PAIRS - 12 adult breeding cats - into the more rural areas of PA (my neighborhood) to control breeding populations of coyotes. They introduced the coyotes to control the whitetail ...

Imagine my dismay @ 3 AM having the dog suddenly go NUTS...I jumped up and went out on the big deck with the spotlight to see what the heck was going on and there, about 35 feet from the house, looking right at me is a big old monutain lion. I about messed myself.

Looks like he put up a good fight! His hair is matted from the sweat from fighting for his life......What ever it was is to be feared! I'd stay inside for the next few days, don't let the dogs out, call friends and tell them to stay away(including mother in law), make sure all doors are locked and all guns are loaded. After 3 or 4 days you should be safe....LOL

Personally, I would invite my MIL to come over tell her to park and walk around the property before coming in the house. But that's just me.....
