Candled one egg (day 9) this morning and found that ..

1) The dark embryo was not moving like some of the others unless I moved the egg.
-healthy veining not really seen, maybe on the bottom a little
2) There was a thick blood ring looking thing on the opposite side of the embryo!

Could this mean the embryo is deceased?

I manually turn it 3 times a day but forgot to do the third turn last night.

These are not shipped but bought from someone on craigslist...some have been stored for a little over 3 weeks.

The veins

Quite possible. Pics?

OMG! Funny thing happened. I saw your post and immediately went downstairs with my camera to take a pic. I placed the egg on the candler and tried to get my camera focused on it. As soon as it did, I looked at the screen and something was moving... it was the embryo. YAY!

Sorry for the bad quality but here is what the opposite side of the embryo location looked like. You are seeing the veins. I took this pic just now and still confused? Why does this egg not have healthy normal vessals like the others?
