Hi I am new to raising birds but this morning I found all of my silkie chickens except 1, guineas and peacock dead. I am in virginia and it has been raining a lot the past 2 days. The birds are in a coop that they can go into to get out of the rain. The youngest bird is 9 weeks old. They were found outside not all huddled together but found in different areas but outside. Any ideas as to what could have happened. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The one that was found alive was slightly wet and inside of coop.

Any signs of being attacked? If you received as much rain as we did here in NC, and they didn't go inside for shelter, I suspect that might have been the reason why they died.

If no injuries, maybe poisoned? Did you start a new bag of feed in the last day or two? Did they show any symptoms of illness prior to you finding them dead? Did you feed them anything new or unusual recently?
