Dead spangled hamburg bantam

My DS came in last night with his bantam spangled hamburg roo- looked lie it just went to sleep - was still a little warm - the only thing odd was pale wattles and a little blood on 2 of its toes one on each foot. Second one dead in 2 months Other pullets are fine. Any ideas?

I wouldnt have a clue.............no signs of fighting of predator? um.....so sorry though.........I have a standard ss hamburg.........would hurt to loose him........

Sometimes they have something internally going on that we just don't see.

Any chance it was a snake bite?

I don't think so- no sign of blood anywhere besides on thos couple of toes - the 3 pullets are in the same pen

They might've been picking at his toes when he went so it may not be a symptom...
