what does OP mean, I know it is something about Poster but?
When I run out of feed and am waiting for an order - weather permitting- (all flights in and out are "weather permitting" and there is no other way here than to use airlines/airplanes most of the year) I pressure cook whole salmon from the freezer, cook up rice, barley, some cornmeal grits, add canned corn on sale, get left over (free) fresh veggies and fruits from the grocery store and that gets my birds by until the plane gets here w/my order.
I use a 32 gallon pressure cooker and stock up on salmon but when the freezer is empty there are always people in town who want to get rid of their freezer burnt fish and I am happy to get it for the birds.
The birds get protein, calcium, veggies, fruits and I've never had a problem with their egg shells or eggs. Only had one sour crop so far last summer/fall. I see oats on sale and people advertise to sell salmon on Craigslist and in the newspapers. Hope these ideas help if you run out of feed. We don't have feed stores here.
