This past friday my dog got a hold of my beloved sophia and shook her like a toy :( she died. She had 2 siblings who were also about 4 weeks old. Now im left with one pullet and one cockerall and even though he's young he's Mean. And i feel as if my small girl is depressed since her sister died. She doesn't run around and chirp or push her brother back like she used to. She gets up to eat and will nap on my lap but is just down and out i suppose? Would getting another pullet the same age help bring her spirits back? I have 3 other girls that are 8 weeks but they ignore her and i dont trust them alone with her yet.. I know this sounds a little odd but her change in behavior has me worried

So sorry for your loss! Managing chickens can be very tricky, especially with your own dogs.
More pullets would be nice, if you can get them from a safe source. And get rid of your nasty cockerel! Your girl will recover, but new chicks will give her something else to focus on rather than recent events.
Mary
