Dear chicken know-it-alls,

Darn. My spouse has a sense of smell ... but no sense of etiquette ... does that count???

Oh, and by the way... I like this thread! I know very little about anything and have finally learned that I know less the older I get. I think in another 10 years I will be roughly equal in intelligence to a cucumber.

I love reading the post from the master breeders and experts, learning and growing. I never knew just how many things I was doing wrong until I started reading up on those threads.
I also love my mutt chickens and love talking with others with a sense of humor and cute, productive hatchery birds. I think the forum's large enough for us all.

You're referring to the hybridized 'gunieconicornagoons' and if you were at all paying attention, you'd know they keep their tentacles hidden unless spooked by a stranger, in which case they catapult themselves straight up into the air and land upon the unsuspecting offender's head, whirring, pipping, flailing and whooping.

These are only available to those who have deep ponds, a nearby cave, and a spouse with no sense of smell.

Special permits are generally required (or so I hear).

And if they are imported - MUCH paperwork and MONTHS of quarantine and the poor things have to go thru full body scans at the airport on the wayin - invasion of privacy i say

Yup! The only thing worse is a gooseyconicornagoon, which poops on you while doing all of the above. They must be carefully trained and socialized.

I love you guys!!!
