So my husband mentioned he knew someone with a cabinet incubator, well today he went and brought it home. And I LOVE it!!! I holds up to 480 chicken eggs at once! It's 110 years old, but at some point was converted from coal oil to electric. It has a wafer thermostat so I guess I'll eventually replace it with an electronic gqf thermostat, but right now I'm regulating it to see how it's going to hold temp. I adjusted the temp once, and it climbed up from 6o to 96 where it's been steady now for over an hour. So I just bumped it up a bit more. There's only one rack in it in the picture, but it holds 4 racks like that. And for hatching, you take out the egg trays and put in these custom build little cage things made of hardware cloth that keeps your chicks in there so they can't fall out. The one picture is of the top chamber, where the water pan goes. What y'll think?? I'm soooooo excited!!!
