Recently I purchased 10 black jersey Giants (2 cockerels and 8 pullets) I got them at 3 days and now they are 9 days old. But yesterday's one of my wittle cockerels died, he spat out some yellow stuff and died, he has a pine shaving bedding. Could he maybe chocked ?

I'm sorry to hear about that.

Chickens can die for a variety of reasons. He could have choked, but generally chickens react more with thrashing when that is happening, backing up and opening and closing their beak. He could have been poisoned, perhaps by an insect he ate or a plant or fungus.
It could have been an illness of the lungs or the crop, such as a blockage, but I think symptoms would have been noticeable earlier.

I've heard that pine shavings can cause problems in some animals, though I doubt that is the cause behind this problem.

I hope your other chickens continue to do well. Best of luck to you!

they are living in a huge box I made for them

If they are not outside, I wouldn't think it could be anything toxic they had eaten. Sometimes they can get respiratory problems from damp bedding, musty food or dirty water. I've kept chicks in damp conditions and only once did I end up with one that was sick, and that one already suffered from brain trauma.

Sometimes diseases are mysteries.
