I have a 5 week old deathlayer and trying to figure out hen or roo. Was hatched on April 12th! I want to lean towards hen because…well, obvious. I already have an Ayam roo so hoping I don’t have to get rid of it.
Looks like a pullet to me. It dosn’t seem to have any long, pointed feathers on its neck of back, right? I didn’t see any but having them is a sure sign of a roo.
Pictures of the whole bird without your hands would help. That way we can see all identifying features (comb and wattles, legs, saddle and hackle feathers)
But from what I can tell, this does look like a pullet! I don't know when deathlayers start to show differences in sex, though. Some breeds develop quicker than others.
