Just got my gold deathlayer eggs this morning from greenfirefarms.
I'm eggcited!!! Lol
Impressive foam package for the eggs.

My timing is off, cause I have my own flock eggs in the incubator and there due July 2, 2021. Guess they'll need to rest until my own eggs hatch.

So 5 days in I candled the eggs, 9 were scrambled, 1 was infertile, and 2 good.

Day 14, 1 egg stopped developing and detached from the membrane, 1 egg still thriving.

Hatch day, my only egg shows no signs of life, so I'll give it 1 or 2 more days.

So far it's looking bleak. I'm just glad I didn't pay a lot for them. And no thanks to USPS, they definitely damaged the eggs.

I was looking forward to having some deathlayers, guess it wasn't meant to be.

Oh bummer. The chicks from the greenfire hatchery are lovely and heathy. But they are pricey. I hope to have chicks in spring.

I stuck mine in the incubator upright. I'm on Day 2- praying these deathlayers work out.

I have had some luck with another breeder on ebay- I have a silver and 2 gold deathlayers that made it to hatch from a shipment of 16 eggs..
