Hand raised. 2 1/2 month of Rooster needs loving home.
Well Debbie has started crowing and exhibiting "rooster like" behavior. I live in the city limits and roosters are a no-no. He is a Golden Laced Wynadotte. Enjoys snacks, bossing hens, and his new found crow. I am looking for a good home for him where he can live out his days doing what he does best, guarding a flock. He is a good rooster, the one cat that made it into my yard he was very alert in getting the hens into the coop. Big personality.
Free too really good home with chicken loving people. Will drive to meet you. I am in Western Washington: Bremerton. Please let me know if you are interested. I am going to keep him as long as the neighbors don't complain to try and find him a good home.

Yeah I was just informed about that. Does him being an Easter Egger make him harder to rehome?

It possibly could because instead of being purebred, he's really a mutt so his offspring will be mutts. This does not mean nobody will want him, but he is less desirable. Of course someone who just wants a pretty roo and doesn't care about eggs could adore him.

What a lot of people do is list on Craigslist for a price that nobody would pay for a meat bird. Good luck!

I listed him on Craiglist as well. But I feel like I got some shady replies. Like the moment they got him he was going to meet with a nefarious end. I stopped replying. I'm trying a few FB chicken groups.
I'm also considering bribing the neighbors and trying a no crow collar. My husband is pretty attached and Debbie is quite a character . I'm hoping he won't be super aggressive with the hens. If that's the case maybe I can just sneak by with him..
