Dec. Egg Swap.. CLOSED

If I dont have enough of one breed to send, but have enough of two or three different pure breed eggs, can I send those? So, itd be a mix of pure breeds.

Edit: Nevermind, saw the answer above me.

Let me think about it. I was thrilled to participate in last months swap but I'm not getting a lot of eggs now and had hoped to have more laying by now in order to do this month's swap. So I maybe better off waiting. Good luck everyone!

I would love to participate but, my Black Jersey Giants just started laying and I have two roosters but I have not hatched any myself to know if they are fertile.

I will have to check tomorrow when we have breakfast. I am pretty sure they are though. But, because they just started laying they are really small eggs.

Pullet eggs will hatch just fine if they are fertile.Remember some chickens lay small egg's anyway.

I certainly hope these Black Jersery Giants lay bigger eggs than this or I will be very dissappointed because I got them because I thought they would lay really large eggs.

How do you all package your eggs to ship them?

Are they hatchery birds or did you get eggs and hatch them yourself?I've never had any Jersey Giants but they are the largest breed of chicken and they will take 18 to 24 months to fully mature.Brahma's are much the same and my 2 are about 18 months and just finished a fullmolt and are much bigger than they were last year.

I cannot play this month either. Finally got snow and it drifted everything shut already; also cold as, well, you get the idea. Not in the mood to fight with my mail person to hold eggs at PO so they don't sit out in the snow all day long and freeze solid. However, you can bet as soon as my weather gets better, I will be back...lololol.
Good luck and great hatches to the people who do get to swap.
