Many different ways. I use 12"x4" bubble wrap strips. At the bottom of the long end I fold over each side to make a little pocket, tape the pocket to make sure it will stay, then put my egg in the pocket and roll it up. Once rolled I tape it all closed. I think being the 12 inches long the bubble wrap gives the egg good protection. I then stuff the box I am using with bubble wrap odds and ends as well as wadded up paper...once it is packed half full ( make sure it is good and tight) then I put in the eggs and put more bubble wrap pieces and paper around them so nothing can move. Tape your box very well. I mark the outside in several places "hatching eggs", fragile", "do not xray" or whatever else in big RED lettering so PO has a clue about taking it easy on the box.

I thank pumpkinpup and Tiff for this info...they are very patient and kind teachers.

How much does it generally cost to ship 6 eggs? 12 eggs?

If you use a flate rate box it is about $10. If you use a regular box and just ship by weight it is normally cheaper, like $5 or $6.

I ship regular mail and only get delivery confirmation. So far everything I have shipped has made it just fine.

Since they are eggs, unfortunately, USPS will not allow you to insure. As long as you have packed well, you should be fine. I paid the extra .65 for delivery confirmation, just makes me feel better knowing that the person I sent to received the box.

And yes, I think SpongeBob suits you just fine Tiff...hehehe

Spongebob is great! Suits you

My daughter has us all hooked on Spongebob. Its amazing how much you retain just from hearing it everyday. Hahaha

So, where do you get your boxes? USPS has the Priority and Flat Rate for free, but if you dont ship that way and go regular mail, where do you get the boxes?
