Dec. Egg Swap.. CLOSED

So, where do you get your boxes? USPS has the Priority and Flat Rate for free, but if you dont ship that way and go regular mail, where do you get the boxes?

Go to walmart, the grocery store, or any place else that gets truck orders and they will let you get them for free. That's where I got the box I shipped in last month. You just need to make sure to cover any labels or markings that are on the outside of the box.

A small square shaped box will hold 8 or 9 standard sized eggs, and the shipping is >$6 priority. The dimensions were about 6"Hx5"Wx4"D.

You can use any box you want as long as it is cardboard. Shelley is right. Go to the grocery store, clothing store, convinent station, anywhere that has them will, most of the time, give them to you for free.

I would love to get some Turkey eggs!!!

My turkeys aren't laying right now. Wish they were! But look out when they start! I will probably flood the board with'em.

Yes the post office US postal service. You can use any box, but if it has markings or labels on it you may want to remove them. I've recycled boxes from shipped eggs and just shipped them back out. Take off the label to me and put on the new one.

Since eggs should be shipped priority, it's easiest for me just to use the free boxes from the PO (not the flat rate ones). That way they're free and already marked for priority.

If you use priority boxes they should be free. If you just use the regular boxes, then you have to pay for them.
