December 18th hatch anyone?

I think I have 12 set to hatch on Friday. I need to candle them again tonight. 8 of them are a mix of RIR and Australorp/RIR crosses. The rest are out of my Australorp and Buff hens and my mutt roosters. Do you think it would hurt to lockdown tonight? Our last batch hatched on days 19-20. I'm going to be getting home late tomorrow.

I think it's easier incubating during the holidays, there is lots of other stuff to take your mind off of the waiting!

I picked up a new LG today for hatching. (gave up on the homemade 'bator

) Just waiting to stabilize then I'll candle as I put them in.

I'll get them in by midnight, hopefully!

I put mine in lockdown this morning. Candled just before I did and had movement.

I candled last night, all 5 had movement. Went into lockdown this morning at 7am

We are in lockdown!!
I didn't get to candle this morning though because I spent too much time messing with the sponges, but I candled a couple of days ago and everyone still looked good.
I also had to set up a humidifier in my room to raise the humidity. The air was just too dry because the heater has been on so much. (It's 20 degrees outside right now.)

This is so much fun!
